Congregations of all faiths in the Komen Central Tennessee service area are encouraged to participate during the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

What is Worship in Pink Weekend?

Worship in Pink Weekend is a grassroots initiative that provides the opportunity for congregations of all faiths to spread the life-saving message about breast health and early detection. The main goal of the program is to increase breast cancer awareness, encourage early detection by increasing the number of women receiving mammograms and to honor breast cancer survivors.

Who Takes Part in Worship in Pink Weekend?

Any church, synagogue, mosque or other religious organization within the Komen Central Tennessee service area including the Chattanooga, Upper Cumberland, and Greater Nashville Regions.

What does Komen and NCBWIM Provide?

Each registered congregation will receive FREE educational materials and planning tools. Materials include giveaways with breast health messaging, sample bulletin announcements,  talking points and other educational information. Once registered you will be notified of the date and location to pick your materials.

Community Outreach: Community organizations can also spread the message of the importance of screening and early detection and promote breast health by distributing education materials to your network. Contact Daveisha Moore at for more information and to obtain materials.
