Central Tennessee Continues to Expand

Susan G. Komen Central Tennessee, comprised of former Komen Upper Cumberland and Komen Greater Nashville, have welcomed Komen Chattanooga to strengthen their impact in the fight against breast cancer!

“By coming together as Komen Central Tennessee and combining our staff and resources, we are now working more efficiently with a larger team to have an even larger impact on our community” said Anita Stewart, current Operations Director for Komen Chattanooga.

With the addition of the Chattanooga Region, which was comprised of 16 counties10 in SE Tennessee and 6 in NW Georgia, Susan G. Komen Central Tennessee will now serve 41 counties in Tennessee and Northwest Georgia.

“By combining resources, our affiliates will be able to reduce operating costs and increase resources to help women and men access breast cancer education, screening, treatment and support services,” said Patty Harman, Executive Director of Komen Central Tennessee.

The consolidation will not change the things that matter most to the communities served. Regional offices in the Greater Nashville, Upper Cumberland, and Chattanooga Regions will continue local operations. Community-focused events, such as outreach and educational services, annual Race for the Cure events and fundraisers, will continue. And local donations and fundraising will continue to serve local breast health programs.
